New Entrance

This project reconfigured access to a stunning double-fronted Georgian house in a conservation area. The original side driveway was too narrow for any vehicle larger than a car to reach the rear of the house, so I successfully applied to move the entrance to the centre of the plot, turning the old driveway into a pedestrian path. The change not only improves functionality but also reveals the beauty of the house, which was previously hidden behind a large hedge. The front of the property now feels lighter, more welcoming, and better connected to the world, while bespoke gates will complete the design in keeping with the building’s character.
