How I work

 

My first visit is about listening to what it is you’d like to change about your home.  Some clients know exactly what it is they want and simply require scaled drawings, others are after new ideas for how space could work better for them. 

 

Once appointed, I come back to the house to survey the property.  I then draw up the existing plans, plus design options on the proposed new scheme.

 

The drawings then come back to you for feedback. There are usually a few tweaks to make at this stage in order to get a set of drawings that everyone loves.

 

If Planning is required, I then submit these drawings along with any other necessary documentation (e.g. maps, Design & Access statements etc.) and liaise with the Planning Officer up to the decision date.

 

The drawings are then yours to pass on to your builder, structural engineer, kitchen or bathroom fitter.

 

As with most things in life, communication is key, and it often feels like different trades speak different languages.  I pride myself on understanding a client’s brief and translating this into detailed drawings for all to understand which should avoid any misinterpretation in the journey of the project.
